We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help build the systems powering our platform. You'll play a key role in designing and developing scalable APIs and backend services that support large scale data processing and collaboration features. This is a highly cross-functional role where you’ll work closely with product managers, frontend developers, and fellow backend engineers to deliver performant and reliable features end to end.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs that are secure, reliable, and scalableBuild backend applications using microservices architecture and serverless technologies (e.g., AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, etc.)Work with product and frontend teams to translate business requirements into technical solutionsWrite clean, maintainable code with appropriate unit and integration test coverageOptimize performance of data workflows, API endpoints, and service infrastructureParticipate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and platform design sessionsContribute to deployment, monitoring, and debugging of production servicesHelp maintain a high engineering standard and share knowledge across the teamQualifications:5+ years of backend engineering experience, preferably in a fast-paced or high-growth environmentStrong understanding of backend architecture, distributed systems, and API design principlesProficiency in at least one of: JavaScript (Node.js) or PythonExperience working with databases (relational or NoSQL) and designing performant schemasFamiliarity with cloud services (AWS preferred) and containerized deployments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)Ability to write well-tested code and build reliable services with automated CI/CD workflowsStrong communication and collaboration skills, especially working with cross-functional teamsNice to Have:Prior experience working with DynamoDB or other NoSQL systems at scaleExposure to rate limiting, content processing, or event-driven architecturesExperience with authentication, permissions, or API gateway design
