AXESS TECHNOLOGY Job Title: Senior Automation Tester & Training Mentor Experience: 4+ Years Location: Axess Technology, TIDEL Park, Rajiv Gandhi IT Expressway, Tharamani, Chennai Interview Mode: Face-to-Face (F2F) Role Overview: We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Automation Tester who also has a strong passion and proven track record in training and mentoring aspiring testers. This dual-role professional will contribute directly to project testing while also playing a key role in upskilling fresh graduates and junior QA professionals through structured training, hands-on mentoring, and practical project exposure. Key Responsibilities: Automation Testing Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain robust automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, TestNG, JUnit . Develop reusable components and libraries for efficient testing practices. Perform API testing using Postman and Rest Assured , validating responses, performance, and security. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by integrating automation suites with Jenkins/GitLab CI . Participate in defect reporting, root cause analysis, and regression testing activities. Maintain version-controlled test repositories using Git . Test Planning & Execution Analyze business and technical requirements to design comprehensive test plans. Write and review manual and automated test cases ensuring high coverage. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, PMs, BAs) to ensure quality deliverables. Training & Mentorship Responsibilities Design structured training modules on manual testing, automation (Java + Selenium), and API testing (Postman + Rest Assured). Conduct classroom-style and hands-on sessions for aspiring QA professionals. Offer real-time project exposure , assign tasks, and evaluate their performance. Mentor trainees on testing fundamentals, tools, scripting, debugging, and reporting. Provide guidance on resume building, interview preparation , and career growth strategies. Continuously update training content to match current industry demands and trends. Training Curriculum Contributions Create and maintain course materials, lab exercises, assessments, and certification tests. Use industry-standard examples and case studies for effective learning. Gather feedback and track trainee progress to improve training outcomes. Knowledge Sharing & Continuous Improvement Lead internal QA workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions. Stay updated with the latest testing trends and tools, and suggest process improvements. Encourage a learning culture within the QA team and the training department. Required Skills & Qualifications: 5+ years of professional experience in software testing (manual + automation). Minimum 2 years of proven experience in conducting training sessions or mentoring. Strong hands-on experience with Java, Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Postman, and Rest Assured . Good exposure to CI/CD pipelines , version control systems (Git), and Agile methodologies. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Passion for teaching and mentoring. Ability to explain complex concepts clearly to beginners and adapt to different learning styles. Good to Have: Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter. Exposure to tools like Maven, Jenkins, or Docker. Certification in ISTQB or any recognized testing certification.
