About the Role:
Rakuten India is seeking a skilled Android Developer to join their dynamic team in Bangalore. This role focuses on developing and maintaining cutting-edge entertainment applications such as Rakuten Music, Rakuten Tickets, and Rakuten Magazine. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced Android applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features.
• Integrate with external data sources and APIs.
• Conduct unit testing for robustness, usability, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
• Continuously research and implement new technologies to enhance development efficiency.
• Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Technical Skills:

• 5 to 8 Yrs of Strong experience in Android native development using Kotlin and Java.
• Deep understanding of Android SDK and the latest Android technologies.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and APIs.
• Familiarity with modern Android Architecture Components (ViewModel, LiveData, Room, etc.).
• Knowledge of Google Play Store guidelines and the app submission process.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform development.
• Proficiency in modern Android UI toolkits, especially Jetpack Compose.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, good communication, and teamwork skills. A strong desire to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving development landscapes.
• Bonus: Experience working on entertainment or media applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with media playback libraries like Media3.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and automated testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of cloud services and backend integration.
• Prior involvement in large-scale, high-traffic Android applications.
