Job Description

Role Summary

  • The Instructional Designer will design and develop engaging, effective learning materials for diverse audiences.
  • This role focuses on translating content into interactive learning experiences using instructional design principles and digital learning tools.
  • The Instructional Designer focuses on the tactical execution of learning projects, ensuring content is clear, concise, and aligned with learning objectives.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop learning content, activities, assessments, and evaluations across various modalities (e-learning, VILT, blended, microlearning, ILT) to maximize learner engagement and transfer of knowledge.
  • Develop detailed instructional design documents, storyboards, scripts, and media specifications that align with design frameworks and brand standards.
  • Develop advanced learning content using authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise 360).
  • Collaborate with Senior Instructional designers, consultants, and project managers to ensure delivery and expected quality levels are met.
  • Proactively manage stakeholder expectations and navigate complex project dynamics.
  • Ensure all learning solutions adhere to accessibility standards.
  • Manage individual instructional design tasks, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring they are completed efficiently and meet quality expectations.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and organize relevant learning assets and files as per standards.
  • Communicate progress and potential roadblocks to senior team members promptly.
  • Conduct self-review of learning materials for accuracy, consistency, and instructional effectiveness.
  • Stay informed about current trends and tools in instructional design and e-learning development.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor''s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Curriculum Development, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in instructional design and curriculum development.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to clearly explain instructional concepts.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning theories and instructional design methodologies.
  • Proficient with the industry-standard e-learning authoring tools like Articulate Rise 360, Storyline 360.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Basic project management skills.
  • Familiarity with AI tools for content generation, personalization, or learning analytics.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Master''s degree in a relevant field.
  • Hand-on experience with any one of the AI-based eLearning authoring tools.
  • Demonstrated experience working with western companies/organizations.
  • Experience with having to communicate complex ideas, topics, and issues with U.S. team members. Ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams and subject matter experts.
