Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior ML/Back-End Engineer with a strong background in cloud architecture, AI/ML systems, and large-scale distributed applications. In this role, you will collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to design, deploy, and manage production-grade AI/ML solutions that power mission-critical systems. You will be responsible for end-to-end architecture, development, and optimization of ML-enabled platforms, while leading key initiatives, mentoring team members, and driving best practices across the organization.Requirements
MS or PhD in Computer Science or a related major5 to 10 years industry experience as a Back End Engineer or ML Engineer or Research EngineerDeep functional knowledge and hands on experience with the following technologies (or equivalent);AWS or GCP cloud services, RESTful Web Services, Containerization (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes)Familiarity with modern AI tools (LLMs, Embedding models, vector databases)Experience with or familiarity with AI/ML Ops tools and platforms (e.g. AWS Bedrock, GCP Vertex AIor Databricks)Familiarity with basic Data Science conceptsExperience architecting and implementing large scale, highly integrated, distributed user-facingapplications and toolsExperience with version control tools (Git)Capable of implementing a resilient web architectureExperience building web products end to end with a deep understanding of web principles and bestpracticesOne or more of the following:Experience building AI applicationsFamiliarity with Machine Learning and Deep Learning conceptsFamiliarity/Experience with time series analysisAdvanced Data Science skillsExperience with time series analysisFamiliarity with financial datasets (such as Company Fundamentals, Options and Level2 marketdata)Experience with fine tuning ML/DL modelsAbility to work a hybrid model, commuting 3 days a week to an office in BangaloreJob responsibilitiesBe part of an agile scrum team and demonstrate constant progress through proof of concept,sandboxing and prototypingArchitect and design scalable, maintainable, secure and reusable strategic solutionsDeploy, monitor, and manage ML models in production environments using MLOps best practicesWork closely with data scientists to transition models from development to production efficiently.Optimize ML models and infrastructure for efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.Design and implement frameworks and tools that empower other developers and non-technicalcolleagues across your entire teamEstimate timelines, perform task breakdown, scoping, design, implementation for mid-to-large scaleproducts and complex multi-month deliverables with insightful strategic approachesLead key team initiatives from start to finish by managing and improving the entire softwaredevelopment life cycleSeek opportunities in our day-to-day workflow and process to improve quality and efficiency frominitial ideation to deploymentPresent and communicate across multiple groups to showcase progress, share knowledge andevangelize best practicesPerforming code reviews for your peers where they will learn from your experience and guidancecontributing to collaborative working modelsRecommend approaches to solving complex problems and use new technologies to achieve goalsOwn, deploy, monitor, and operate large-scale production systems distributed across the globe.Lead and mentor junior engineers in the process of building production grade systems andapplications which scale and performAct as technical liaison to business teams to translate business needs to work streams andtechnical solutionsWhat we offerCulture of caring.
