Senior Accountant

Job Title: Senior Accountant Company: Passport Jeans Pvt. Ltd. Location: Kolkata Job Summary Passport Jeans Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage the company’s overall accounting operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in GST, TDS, taxation, and balance sheet finalization, along with excellent working knowledge of Tally and other accounting tools. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations. Prepare and file GST returns, TDS, and other statutory compliances. Handle taxation-related matters and ensure adherence to government regulations. Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual balance sheets and financial statements. Maintain accurate records of accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger. Coordinate with auditors and ensure smooth completion of audits. Manage payroll, vendor payments, and bank reconciliations. Provide financial analysis and support management in decision-making. Required Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of Tally ERP and MS Office (Excel, Word). In-depth understanding of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and Accounting Standards. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality. Good communication and organizational skills. Eligibility Criteria Qualification: B.Com (Commerce Graduate). Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting, taxation, and financial reporting. Proficiency in Tally is mandatory.
