Senior Accountant

About Us

Ramla Supermarket is a leading retail chain dedicated to delivering quality products and outstanding customer service. We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting expertise, leadership abilities, and the capability to manage financial operations in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
• Manage payroll processing and related reporting.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow to support business decisions.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
• Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and external stakeholders as required.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to strengthen internal controls.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role (retail or FMCG sector experience is a plus).
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and MS Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
