Job Title: Accounts Head

Location: Pathfinder Education, West Bengal
Minimum Qualification: B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce)
Preferred Qualifications: M.Com, CA (Inter), ICWA (Inter), CMA

Responsibilities :

• Manage and oversee daily accounting operations (ledger, journal, payables, receivables, payroll, etc.)
• Prepare and maintain financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST, TDS, and other statutory returns
• Coordinate internal and statutory audits
• Lead budgeting and forecasting activities
• Monitor budget vs actuals and report variances to management
• Implement and maintain internal financial controls
• Supervise and guide the accounts team
• Liaise with banks, auditors, vendors, and regulatory bodies
• Support management in financial planning and strategy
• Ensure compliance with Indian accounting standards and tax regulations
• Automate and streamline accounting processes where possible

Requirements :

• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, ERP, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Leadership and team management ability
• High level of integrity and confidentiality

Experience :

• Minimum 5–7 years in accounting/finance
• Prior experience in the education sector is a plus
• Experience managing a small to mid-sized accounts team preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
