This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned accounting professional to take ownership of critical financial operations in a remote-first environment. You’ll work directly with the CFO of a well-organized company where established processes make it easy to step in and excel from day one. Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll using ADP system, ensuring accuracy and compliance for all employees
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and maintain meticulous financial records across multiple entities
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries to ensure proper categorization and financial accuracy
• Generate comprehensive financial statements including profit & loss reports and balance sheets
• Create and distribute daily bank balance reports via Excel to ownership team and CFO
• Maintain and optimize QuickBooks Online systems for maximum efficiency and accuracy
• Ensure all accounting processes remain clean, organized, and current with best practices
• Collaborate effectively with team members on accounting-related matters and special projects
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures with attention to detail and deadlines

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably with US-based companies
• Expert-level proficiency in QuickBooks Online with demonstrated ability to optimize workflows
• Proven experience processing payroll through ADP systems
• Advanced Excel skills including complex formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling
• Solid understanding of US GAAP accounting principles and financial statement preparation
• Strong knowledge of journal entries, P&L analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field strongly preferred
• Exceptional ability to work independently and manage priorities in a remote environment
• Outstanding organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for seamless team collaboration
• Immediate availability for start date highly preferred due to urgent business needs
