Senior Academic Counselor

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Academic Counsellor to guide students for Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) courses. The role involves student counseling, admissions support, and ensuring a positive student experience from inquiry to enrollment.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Counsel students and parents on UG & PG course options, eligibility, and career paths
• Handle inquiries via calls, emails, walk-ins, and online leads
• Support students through the admission and enrollment process
• Explain course structure, fees, scholarships, and university guidelines
• Maintain accurate student records and follow-ups in CRM
• Achieve monthly admission targets
• Coordinate with academic and admission teams
• Conduct career guidance sessions, webinars, and info sessions
• Resolve student and parent queries professionally

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Education or related field preferred)
• 3–6 years of experience in academic counseling / admissions / education sales
• Strong knowledge of UG & PG programs (Arts, Science, Commerce, Management, etc.)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Target-oriented with a student-first approach
• Comfortable using CRM, MS Office, and online counseling tools

Preferred Skills

• Experience with universities, colleges, or EdTech platforms
• Admission process knowledge for Indian UG & PG programs
• Multilingual skills are a plus
