Job Description

Role Purpose Direct Reports:

Accountable for Strategy planning and execution for Infra & Industrial Segment ensuring top-line and bottom-line growth is delivered. Responsible for end-to-end management of the Segment Strategy, related portfolio, Segment value propositions, and developing a Segment plan aligned with Product Category plans. Working in close coordination with the Innovation, Sales and Manufacturing teams.

Area Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities Role Specifications

  • Portfolio Management:

1.Responsible for end-to-end management of Systems and services in for Segment

2.Track sales and margin growth, Segment trends and propose corrective actions

3.Define Segment Value proposition

New Product Introduction:

4.Build a Segment plan, which builds up on existing category plans and addresses the segment pain points

5.Conduct segment market assessment to confirm potential and develop segment plans to address the identified need

6.Work closely together Category, R&D and Manufacturing teams to prepare product launch strategy (introduction pricing, roll out pilots, follow up with supply chain, production issues) and implement the same going forward.

Product Promotions:

7.Devise promotional strategies for products in own Segment and ensure execution through close collaboration with the category, sales and branding teams, covering areas of merchandising, POS Communication, Technical documentation for catalogues/ websites, exhibition participation etc.

Market Intelligence:

8. Carry out market visits to attain a better understanding of the current product positioning and perception, customer satisfaction levels, identify latent customer needs and competitive environment

9.Actively participate in trade conferences and exhibitions to stay abreast of industry trends.

New Growth opportunities:

10.Recommend new geographies, collaborations, channels or M&A opportunities in the Segment to achieve sustainable profitable growth

Role Specifications:

  • Educational Qualification: BE,B Tech + MBA

  • Years/type of experience: 12-15 years of Marketing/Category/Brand management experience

  • Technical Skills/Knowledge: Understanding of the Building Materials Proven track record in managing a product portfolio and category planning Business acumen combined with technical knowledge Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, plus a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Ability to build relationships

  • Language: English
