Security Officer

Key Responsibilities

Campus Security & Monitoring

• Supervise and manage all security guards and related personnel.
• Monitor entry and exit of students, staff, visitors, and vehicles.
• Ensure that ID cards, visitor passes, and escort cards are properly checked and recorded.
• Conduct routine patrols of the campus, including gates, classrooms, hostels, playgrounds, and parking areas.
• Oversee CCTV monitoring and report any suspicious activities.

Safety Protocols & Emergency Management

• Implement school security protocols for fire, accidents, or other emergencies.
• Coordinate with local police, fire department, and ambulance services when needed.
• Conduct regular emergency evacuation drills in collaboration with school authorities.
• Ensure all fire extinguishers, alarms, and safety equipment are maintained and functional.

Staff & Student Safety

• Ensure safe movement of students during arrival, dispersal, and transport boarding.
• Supervise bus parking, loading, and unloading zones to avoid accidents.
• Prevent unauthorized individuals from entering the campus.
• Handle disciplinary issues related to student safety in coordination with teachers and management.

Administrative Duties

• Maintain daily security logbooks, visitor registers, and incident reports.
• Prepare security duty rosters and assign shifts to guards.
• Report all incidents, breaches, or risks immediately to the Admin Manager/Principal.
• Ensure adherence to school policies, including parking regulations and restricted area access.

Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience in school/organizational security (3+ years preferred).
• Ex-service personnel (Army/Police/Paramilitary) preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of security systems (CCTV, alarm systems, fire safety).
• Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically fit and alert.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Kollam, Kerala: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

• Higher Secondary(12th Pass) (Preferred)

Experience:

• total work: 1 year (Preferred)
• Security: 1 year (Preferred)
