Introduction to the Team:

Computer Security Incident Response team (CSIRT) is dedicated group of experts responsible for protecting Expedia Group from the ever-evolving threat landscape. CSIRT operations team is the first line of defense against Cyber and Information Security incidents. Our operations team is supported by Senior Security Engineers and Incident Commanders to manage the full incident lifecycle, from preparation and detection to containment and recovery, to minimize damage and ensure business continuity.

In this role, you will:

• Utilizes advanced analytics and research to create solutions to complex and highly ambiguous tasks.

• Develops selection methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to ensure success.

• Owns & leads a project or feature within one's own organization (Security Operations)

• Develops methods and procedures on unique work; may coordinate activities of other personnel.

• Articulates a design or pattern in how to improve a solution and Influencing design and direction of a project; formulate their position based on experience and data

• Engages solutions with an attitude of assuming positive intent and seeks to solve

Experience and qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Degree in software engineering, computer science or a similar field

• 5+ years of experience in a technical role such as Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, or System Administration.

• Demonstrated experience in advanced system administration, including system installation/configuration, virtual infrastructure management, and production troubleshooting.

• Advanced knowledge of networking concepts and practical application, including MPLS/GRE tunnels, BGP, and VPN deployment.
