About the Role

data-driven SEO & AI Search Optimization Manager

This role is ideal for someone who understands how SEO, content, and community-led search influence eCommerce sales.

Key Responsibilities

Traditional SEO

• Build and execute SEO strategy across technical, on-page, off-page, and content.
• Product page & collection page optimization for Shopify / eCommerce.
• Conduct keyword research, competitor benchmarking, and search intent mapping.
• Create SEO content clusters (blogs, landing pages, FAQ hubs).
• Run technical SEO audits (indexing, schema, crawlability, speed).
• Track organic performance via GA4, GSC, SEMRush/Ahrefs.

Off-Page SEO (Authority & Trust Building — Strong Focus)

Goal:

• Lead

  digital PR and link acquisition

  through outreach, brand mentions, and authority-building initiatives.
• Build backlink partnerships with

  blogs, niche publishers, media outlets, review platforms, and comparison sites

  relevant to the product category.
• Create

  link-worthy content assets

  such as data stories, product insights, guides, infographics, comparison pages, and evergreen resources that attract natural backlinks.
• Manage and improve

  brand reputation

  on third-party sites (review platforms, listings, citations).

Community SEO (Reddit + Quora):

• Participate in niche threads/subreddits and answer real user questions with value and insights (not promotional posts).
• Generate discussions that lead users to discover the product organically.
• Position brand-related content to be referenced in

  AI-generated answers (ChatGPT / Gemini / Perplexity)

Quality Over Quantity:

• Focus on contextual, relevant backlinks from high-authority domains.
• No spammy or mass link-building —

  only clean, strategic, reputation-driven Off-Page SEO.

AI Engine Optimization (AEO — AI Search SEO)

• Optimize content to appear in

  AI answer engines

  (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity).
• Implement entity-based SEO and structured data strategies.
• Influence how AI tools surface responses by building authoritative, referenceable content.
• Create content targeting

  zero-click searches, snippets, and AI summaries

AI + Non-Google Search (Reddit + Quora)

• Identify high-intent conversations on

  Reddit and Quora

  and insert brand authority intelligently.
• Create value-led answers that rank inside threads and appear in AI summaries.
• Monitor trends and pain points to fuel content development.
• Build brand presence where actual purchase decisions happen —

  in communities, not just on Google

  .

Analytics & Reporting

• Build dashboards and track performance toward organic revenue growth.
• Present insights and monthly performance to internal/client teams.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of SEO experience (eCommerce experience preferred).
• Proficiency with GSC, GA4, SEMRush/Ahrefs, Screaming Frog.
• Strong understanding of SEO content strategy and technical SEO fundamentals.
• Experience using AI tools to accelerate SEO workflows.

Preferred Skills

• Schema/Structured data implementation (JSON-LD).
• Familiarity with Shopify SEO apps and content automation workflows.
• Understanding of how Reddit/Quora impacts SEO and AI search visibility.

Success Metrics

• Organic revenue contribution.
