About the role:
We are looking for a passionate and detail-orientated QA Engineer/SDET with 2–4 years of experience to join our growing team. In this role, you will ensure the quality and reliability of our applications across mobile and API platforms. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to design test strategies, perform manual and automated testing, and deliver high-quality releases.
Key Responsibilities
● Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for mobile applications and APIs.
● Perform manual testing across Android/iOS devices and report defects with clear documentation.
● Develop and maintain basic API automation scripts (e.g., Postman, RestAssured, or equivalent).
● Validate API responses, request flows, and error handling.
● Work with databases to validate data integrity using SQL queries.
● Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
● Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution.
● Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives as part of an Agile team.
● Contribute to improving QA processes, test coverage, and automation frameworks.
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
● 2–4 years of hands-on experience in software testing (manual and automation).
● Experience in mobile app testing (Android/iOS).
● Strong knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar.
● Basic experience in API automation (e.g., RestAssured, Java/Python scripts).
● Solid understanding of DBMS concepts and ability to write SQL queries for validation.
● Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
● Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
● Exposure to automation frameworks (JUnit, TestNG, or equivalent).
● Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (Git).
● Experience with bug tracking and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
● Basic knowledge of performance testing concepts.
