Role Description: We are currently looking for a Software Development Engineer (SDE) + Subject Matter Expert – Web Development to join our Computer Science Department . This is an academically focused role that requires a strong background in Web Development , along with experience in teaching and mentoring students in core Computer Science subjects. Key Responsibilities Course Development & Delivery: Design and deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions in Frontend Topics like JavaScript, React.js, TypeScript, etc. Lab Management: Conduct and manage lab sessions to provide students with hands-on coding experience. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with faculty members, researchers, and industry partners to enhance the curriculum. Academic Excellence & Student Success: Mentor students, assist with project work, and ensure academic growth. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with university administrators and Newton School representatives to drive innovation. Research & Innovation: Encourage students to engage in cutting-edge research and industry collaborations. Qualifications & Experience 0-4 years of experience as a Software Developer with a focus on Frontend Development. Proficiency in JS, CSS, React.js, Angular (must be comfortable picking up new languages quickly). Solid understanding of Frontend Development concepts, including experience with User interface, performance optimization, and modern frameworks. Strong ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms to students. Adaptability to learn and teach core computer science topics. Good-to-Have Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level. Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and academic tools. Experience in software development and system design.
