SDE 3 - Backend

As a highly motivated and experienced Tech Lead, your key role will involve leading and mentoring a team of talented engineers, driving the technical direction of the backend, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. Collaboration with Product Managers, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders will be essential to translate business requirements into robust and scalable technical solutions. Your responsibilities as a Tech Lead at Amber include: - Owning the overall architecture and design of systems, ensuring scalability, performance, maintainability, and security. - Being hands-on in Ruby, Python, SQL, NoSQL, and event-based systems. - Mentoring and guiding engineers on technical best practices, problem-solving, and career development. - Collaborating closely with Product Managers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. - Leading and motivating a high-performing team of engineers, conducting performance reviews, providing constructive feedback, and guiding their career growth. - Monitoring system performance, identifying and resolving issues proactively, and automating processes to improve efficiency and reliability. - Exploring and evaluating emerging technologies for potential application to products and driving the adoption of AI/ML solutions. Qualifications required for this role: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. - At least 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, focusing on backend development. - Minimum 1 year of experience leading and mentoring engineering teams. - Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying scalable and high-performance backend systems. - Proficiency in at least one backend programming language, preferably Ruby or Python. - Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). - Understanding of DevOps principles and experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools. - Good communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. - Mindset of Continuous Improvement and proactive hiring to achieve business goals.,
