SDE 3 - Backend

As an SDE III - Backend Engineer at ZOOP, you will be a valuable member of the engineering team responsible for building and scaling the B2B KYC platform. Your passion for solving complex problems and mentoring others will be instrumental in the following key responsibilities: - Designing, developing, and maintaining robust microservices and backend components for the KYC platform. - Creating and managing well-documented APIs and queue contracts for effective interservice communication. - Collaborating closely with Product Managers and Engineering Leads to implement scalable and maintainable features. - Contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle including planning, design, coding, testing, deployment, and documentation. - Guiding junior developers on best engineering practices such as Test Driven Development (TDD), clean code, and efficient debugging. - Continuously contributing to team knowledge sharing and upskilling initiatives. To qualify for this role, you should meet the following requirements: - Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. - 6+ years of experience in software development, with a preference for Node.js or similar technologies. - Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, algorithms, data structures, and software design principles. - Experience in building distributed and highly available systems at scale. - Hands-on experience with event-driven platforms using technologies like Kafka, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, etc. - Familiarity with cloud environments and containerization tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or GCP. - Proficiency in asynchronous programming patterns and performance optimization techniques. - Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience working in Agile environments. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and resolve complex production issues.
