Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
• Collaborate with product, frontend, and mobile teams to define requirements and deliver new features.
• Write clean, testable, maintainable code aligned with engineering best practices.
• Develop RESTful APIs, database schemas, and caching layers to support high-throughput applications.
• Manage relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), including query optimization and performance tuning.
• Use Redis for caching and managing data structures to improve system response times.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production-level issues with a focus on performance and reliability.
• Monitor system performance and stability; implement automation and observability improvements.
• Stay current with backend technology trends, Java/Spring Boot ecosystem enhancements, and modern architectural approaches.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3-6 years of experience in backend or system development.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Spring JPA.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed system patterns.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and AWS ECS.
• Strong hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), including RDBMS design and SQL tuning.
• Practical experience using Redis for caching and performance optimization.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and integration.
• Proficiency in Git and code quality standards.
• Strong debugging skills and experience with testing and monitoring tools.
  

Good to Have

• Experience working on consumer-facing or fintech/insurance products.
• Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS) and/or GCP.
• Exposure to messaging/streaming systems like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS.
• Experience with infrastructure automation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of security, scalability, and reliability best practices.
• Exposure to event-driven or asynchronous system architectures
