Role: Sr. Scrum Master

Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Scrum Master to join our Agile

team. The Scrum Master will be responsible for leading Agile ceremonies, facilitating

team collaboration, and ensuring that the team follows Agile principles and Scrum

practices effectively. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Agile/Scrum

methodologies and excels at sprint planning, backlog management, issue

unblocking, RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) management, and

team facilitation.

This role requires exceptional communication and leadership skills to foster a

productive and self-organizing team environment, while also working closely with

Product Owners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality

outcomes.

Responsibilities:

•    Guide and coach the team on Agile/Scrum principles, ensuring adherence to

Scrum framework and best practices.

•    Facilitate all Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint

reviews, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.

•    Work with Product Owners to ensure the product backlog is well-defined,

prioritized, and ready for development.

•    Lead sprint planning sessions to define sprint goals and forecast work based on

team capacity.

•    Actively identify, track, and resolve team impediments to maintain steady

progress.

•    Manage and communicate RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies)

logs, escalating where necessary to avoid delivery impacts.

•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment

and transparency across initiatives.

•    Support continuous improvement efforts by capturing lessons learned and driving

retrospective actions.

•    Generate regular status reports, sprint metrics, and dashboards to provide

visibility into team progress and performance.

•    Promote a culture of trust, open communication, and accountability within the

Agile team.

•    5+ years of experience in an Agile Scrum Master or similar Agile project

leadership role.

•    Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and Agile

delivery best practices.

•    Proven experience in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and task estimation.
•    Expertise in issue resolution, with a track record of effectively unblocking teams

and removing obstacles.

•    Hands-on experience managing RAID logs and presenting clear, concise updates

to senior stakeholders.

•    Excellent facilitation, interpersonal, and communication skills able to manage

team dynamics and foster collaboration.

•    Proficient in Agile project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Azure

DevOps, or similar.

•    Scrum Master certification (e.g., CSM, PSM I/II) required; SAFe Agilist or

equivalent certifications are a plus.

•    Experience working with cross-functional, distributed teams is highly desirable.
•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a

related field.
