About the Job Role:
We re looking for a Long-form Scriptwriter with a passion for artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and storytelling. You will create 20-minute YouTube documentary/report-style/ workflow/AI tool walkthrough scripts that combine deep research, engaging narratives, and technical accuracy.
Your work will be the foundation for GrowthSchool s upcoming AI-focused YouTube channels(Vaibhav s YT and Outskill), helping us educate and inspire millions while maintaining high viewer retention.
Location
: GrowthSchool HQ in Bangalore.
Key Responsibilities:
Script Development
Research AI trends, research papers, and industry developments
Write
~2,500 3,000 word scripts
for 3 4 long-form videos/month Craft compelling hooks, structured storytelling, and smooth pacing
Simplify complex concepts without losing technical accuracy
Content Enrichment
Suggest relevant B-roll, archival footage, and supporting visuals
Integrate case studies, real-world examples, and analogies for clarity
Write YouTube-optimized titles, descriptions, and call-to-actions
Audience Optimization
Use audience retention data to refine storytelling approach
Stay updated with YouTube best practices for long-form content
Collaboration
Work closely with video editors, researchers, and presenters
Align scripts with GrowthSchool s brand voice and channel goals
Optimize for Audience Engagement:
Leverage AI insights to maximize reach and viewership on YouTube.
Stay updated on best practices for titles, descriptions, and thumbnails to increase click-through rates and retention.
Continuous Learning & Innovation:
Stay current with video editing trends, AI tools, and YouTube strategies.
Experiment with new formats and AI tools to stay ahead of the competition.
Nice to Have
Background in tech journalism, science communication, or edutainment content
Understanding of YouTube analytics and algorithm-driven content strategy
Experience working with AI tools for research or content ideation
Skills & Competencies:
1+ years experience writing for YouTube or similar video platforms
Strong interest in
AI, machine learning, and emerging technologies
Proven storytelling skills that hold attention for 15+ minutes
Excellent research and fact-checking abilities
Strong written English and script formatting skills
A creative mindset, with the ability to ideate and execute AI-enhanced video content.
Familiarity with video analytics to understand viewer behavior and optimize content accordingly.
Being a content creator yourself is a plus.
