Must Have

• Understanding of carbon black technology/advanced filler technology/rubber technology with in-depth knowledge of testing, characterization and analysis of rubber compounds, fillers and relevant additives.
• Familiarity and visualization of recent trends in technology, sustainability, and product stewardship of rubber technology.
• Ability to identify the scope of new carbon blacks and carbonaceous materials for business growth and brand building of the company.
• Modifications of carbon black
• Product knowledge in the field of tyre, non-tyre and special applications of rubber goods.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new carbon black and filler materials for rubber applications (tyre, non-tyre, and specialty).
• Design and optimize rubber compounds to meet performance and durability targets.
• Support sustainability and regulatory compliance initiatives in product development.
• Lead troubleshooting and customer issue resolution through lab-scale and pilot studies.
• Manage laboratory systems, chemical inventory, and maintenance of R&D instruments.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Process, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.
  

Qualifications

• Education: BE/B.Tech/M.Sc. in Rubber or Polymer Science & Technology
• Postgraduate: M.Tech (Mandatory)
• Experience: Strong understanding of rubber compounding, filler technology, and testing methods.
• Knowledge of sustainability, product stewardship, and regulatory compliance in rubber manufacturing.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
