School Practice Coordinator

Azim Premji University, Bhopal started operations in August 2023, offering postgraduate and undergraduate programmes. The first phase of campus construction is complete and the overall 50-acre campus with state-of-the-art academic and residential facilities will be ready over the next few years. We expect to grow to about 4000 students and 500 members over the next few years.

We are expanding our programme offerings and are inviting applications for full-time faculty positions. We will offer faculty an enriching and fulfilling institution building experience encompassing interdisciplinary program design, development, and research opportunities, setting up and implementation of key institutional processes, culture building and participation in various institutional bodies.

Responsibilities:

As a School Practice Coordinator, you will be required to:

• Develop relationships with schools and initiate partnership efforts with the colleges/ Universities in and around Bhopal
• Nurture these relationships through regular school visits, coordinating workshops for the teachers, School Heads, community members and Education officers.
• Provide input on topics for the workshops and other engagements with the teachers and other stakeholders
• Manage end-to-end coordination of engagement activities planned for the schools
• Serve as a common point of contact for schools, faculty members and students at the University for school practicums and other engagements.
• Maintain a database of schools and teachers with relevant details

Requirements:

• A master’s degree in any discipline, preferably in Social Work (MSW), Education (MAEDU)
• Ability to understand and communicate the importance of field visits as part of the postgraduate programme to students and other stakeholders
• Experience in networking and building long-term relationships with diverse schools including private, aided, government etc.
• Understanding of school cultures and, protocols
• Two to three years of experience in networking with organisations and people
• Proficiency in both reading and writing in Hindi and English and excellent management capabilities
• Willingness to travel frequently
