Role

The SAP SD Systems Architect is responsible for owning the end-to-end architecture of Sales & Distribution processes within the SAP landscape. This role combines deep functional expertise, solution design leadership, and cross-module integration to deliver scalable, high-performing Order-to-Cash (OTC) solutions & also delivering the designed solutions. The architect works closely with business leadership, technical developers, and project teams to ensure SAP SD supports strategic business objectives &

delivery to projects. This is an individual contributor role.

Key

1.

• Lead the design of complex SAP SD solutions within ECC environments.
• Define global templates, solution blueprints, and architecture standards.
• Provide architectural direction for pricing, billing, taxation, delivery processing, ATP, credit management, and logistics execution.
• Evaluate business requirements and translate them into scalable, integrated SAP solutions.

• Expertise in delivering projects, on time & within budgets.
• Capable of designing solutions & writing BBP (Business Blueprinting docs.) & preparing a formal scope of the project.
• Should be able to work in Agile model of delivery & have exposure in working for product teams & meeting sprints goals.
• He is expected to work as individual contributor on the projects assigned.

• Architect S/4HANA SD solutions, leveraging simplification items and FIORI apps.
• Support brownfield and greenfield migration initiatives.
• Guide data migration, cutover planning, and integration design for OTC processes.

• Architect seamless integrations between SD and FI, MM, PP, WM, TMS, GTS.
• Oversee EDI/IDoc interfaces, API integrations, and third-party logistics (3PL) connectivity.
• Ensure high-performance, low-latency system interactions across the enterprise ecosystem.
• Troubleshoot issues with SAP integration with mulesoft thru IDOCs or odata with 3rd party applications. Provide solutions to fix at SAP end- if issues are at SAP side.

• Work with ABAP, BTP, middleware, and integration teams to guide technical designs.
• Draft & Review functional specs, RICEFW designs, and custom enhancements.
• Provide expertise in debugging, performance optimization, and solution scalability.

• Drive SAP SD governance, change control, and architectural best practices.
• Ensure compliance with global template standards, SOX, GDPR, and other regulatory needs.
• Conduct design reviews, QA checks, and solution validation workshops.

• Serve as the primary SD/OTC process advisor to business executives.
• Mentor consultants, and analysts across global SAP teams.
• Delivery project architecture deliverables, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies.

Required

• Bachelors/Masters degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, MBA, BBA or related field.
• 812+ years of deep SAP SD functional experience with at least 3+ years in an IC role.

Expert-level

• Order-to-Cash (OTC) process design
• Pricing architecture (condition technique, V/08, formula-based pricing, variant pricing)
• Advanced billing & invoicing (SD-FI integration)
• Delivery, shipping, freight, and logistics execution
• Credit management & revenue recognition
• ATP, Pricing procedure, Stock distribution, GST Integration
• Strong experience with S/4HANA SD and FIORI.
• Proven experience in global SAP rollouts, multi-country implementations, and template designs.
• Hands-on experience with EDI, IDoc troubleshooting, API integrations. Expertise in troubleshooting & providing support with SFDC, salesforce & e-commerce portals as integration with SAP SD.
• Strong ability to guide ABAP teams and draft technical specifications.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and executive presentation skills.
