Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled SAP PP Lead Consultant to lead end-to-end implementation, support, and enhancement of SAP Production Planning modules.The role requires deep functional expertise in SAP PP, integration knowledge with other SAP modules, and strong leadership to guide both clients and internal teams.
Responsibilities
The SAP PP Lead Consultant will be responsible for translating business requirements into SAP solutions, ensuring smooth project execution, and driving continuous improvements to optimize manufacturing and production Responsibilities :
- Lead end-to-end SAP PP module implementations, including requirement gathering, blueprinting, configuration, testing, and go-live.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze and understand production planning, shop floor control, capacity planning, MRP, and demand management processes.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and develop solutions aligned with industry best practices.
- Configure SAP PP module components, including BOM (Bill of Materials), routing, work centers, production versions, master data, and planning strategies.
- Ensure smooth integration of SAP PP with related modules such as MM, SD, WM, QM, and FI/CO.
- Conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing), prepare training materials, and deliver workshops for end-users.
- Provide post-implementation support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system stability.
- Lead a team of SAP consultants, mentoring and guiding junior members to ensure quality delivery.
- Collaborate with technical teams (ABAP, BASIS) for developments, enhancements, and system upgrades.
- Stay updated on SAP S/4HANA PP functionalities, innovations, and digital supply chain trends to advise clients on improvements.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, provide timely project updates, and ensure adherence to project and Experience :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in SAP Production Planning (PP) with at least 23 end-to-end implementations.
- Strong knowledge of SAP PP master data, planning strategies, MRP, capacity planning, shop floor execution, and reporting.
- Hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA PP (preferred) and understanding of Fiori apps.
- Experience in integration with other modules such as MM, SD, WM, QM, and FI/CO.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes across discrete, process, and repetitive industries.
- Exposure to PP-PI (Production Planning for Process Industries) will be an added advantage.
- Proven experience in team leadership, client engagement, and project management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- SAP PP certification & Functional Skills :
- SAP S/4HANA PP configuration and customization.
- Deep expertise in MRP, Demand Management, Long-Term Planning, and Capacity Evaluation.
- Strong knowledge of production orders, shop floor control, and order settlement.
- Experience with interfaces, IDocs, BAPIs, and enhancements in PP.
- Familiarity with SAP Best Practices, Activate Methodology, and Agile project Skills :
- Strong stakeholder management and client-facing skills.
- Ability to mentor and guide teams effectively.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation abilities.
- Strong business acumen and ability to align SAP solutions with organizational goals
