remains active but lacks documentation and internal functional ownership. Most prior SAP HCM knowledge has been lost, and the current team consists primarily of developers with limited HR functional expertise. The SAP system continues to support
ongoing HR and Payroll operations
and will remain operational for Payroll processing and historical data post-Workday implementation. In the new landscape,
Workday will serve as the system of record
, while SAP HCM ECC will function as a
downstream system

Core Focus Areas
- Analyze and
document existing SAP HCM ECC configuration
, including custom developments, tables, schemas, and infotypes. Stabilize Payroll, Time Management, and Personnel Administration processes
to ensure uninterrupted HR operations.- Maintain
SAP as an integration-ready, data-consistent downstream system
within the Workday ecosystem. - Collaborate with
Workday and SHAPEiN partners

Key Tasks
- Reverse-engineer and document all relevant HCM modules:
OM, PA, TM, PY, CM, ESS/MSS, Workflow, TRV
. - Troubleshoot and correct
Payroll schema logic (PE01), PCRs, wage types, and time evaluation rules
. - Review and validate
custom infotypes, Z-tables, and configuration
relevant to HR and Payroll processing. - Ensure SAP
data structures align with integration requirements
(PECI via SHAPEiN). - Clarify and document
functional dependencies
between HR processes and SAP configuration. - Create
maintainable technical and functional documentation
for long-term operations.
Required Skills
Deep functional expertise in SAP HCM ECC
: OM, PA, TM, PY, Compensation, ESS/MSS, Workflow, Travel.Advanced Payroll configuration
: schemas, PCRs, wage types, cumulations, evaluation logic.- Experience with
custom infotypes, Z-tables, and enhancements
(BADIs, user exits). Understanding of SAP HR integration frameworks
and downstream data alignment principles.- Strong ability to
analyze undocumented systems
, identify inconsistencies, and restore clarity. Fluent English
