SAP FICO Onshore Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary onshore contact for SAP FICO-related activities, working closely with business stakeholders and offshore delivery teams.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications and system configurations.
• Configure SAP FI/CO modules including but not limited to GL, AP, AR, AA, Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), Internal Orders, and Product Costing.
• Support end-to-end SAP implementations, upgrades, migrations, and support projects.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., SD, MM, PP) to ensure seamless process integration.
• Lead or participate in workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and fit-gap analysis.
• Create and execute test cases, support UAT, and provide user training and documentation.
• Provide timely resolution for production support issues, ensuring SLAs are met.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements, as applicable.
• Act as a bridge between the client’s finance teams and offshore support/implementation teams.
  

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• 10+ years of hands-on SAP FICO experience in configuration and implementation.
• At least 1 full lifecycle SAP implementation experience in an onshore/offshore model.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (GAAP, IFRS).
• Expertise in integration with other SAP modules (MM, SD, PP, PS).
• Familiarity with S/4HANA is a plus (e.g., Universal Journal, New Asset Accounting).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Work timings shall be aligned to the US timezone.
