SAP FICO Functional Consultant

As a SAP FICO Consultant, your primary responsibility will be to gather business requirements and translate them into SAP FICO functional specifications. You will configure and customize SAP FICO modules, including FI (Financial Accounting) and CO (Controlling), to align with client requirements. This involves working on various components such as GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, and COPA. Integration of FICO with other SAP modules like MM, SD, PP, and HCM will also be part of your tasks. Your role will include conducting unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the smooth functioning of the system. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing documentation such as Business Process Documents (BPDs), Functional Specifications (FS), Test Scripts, and Training Manuals. Supporting end users, resolving day-to-day FICO issues, and participating in end-to-end implementation, rollouts, and upgrade projects are crucial aspects of this position. Collaboration with technical teams, specifically ABAP developers, for custom developments will be required to enhance system functionalities. You must ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies while providing training and support to users and stakeholders. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or IT, with an MBA/CA/ICWA being preferred for senior roles. A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in SAP FICO module is essential, along with a strong understanding of SAP FICO configuration and business processes. Experience in end-to-end SAP implementations and knowledge of integration with MM, SD, PS, and HR modules are also necessary. Familiarity with S/4HANA Finance is advantageous, and possessing good analytical and problem-solving skills is important for success in this role. Effective communication and client-facing abilities will be beneficial, along with a SAP FICO certification (preferred but not mandatory). Preferred qualifications include S/4HANA implementation experience, exposure to global template rollouts, knowledge of localization (e.g., India GST, US GAAP, EU VAT), familiarity with Fiori apps or SAP Activate methodology, and experience with tools like ServiceNow, Jira, or Solution Manager.
