Job Description
We are seeking an experienced SAP Enterprise Portal Expert for a Contract-to-Hire (CTH) position. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, integrating, and supporting SAP Enterprise Portal solutions tailored to organizational requirements. The role includes a strong emphasis on stakeholder engagement, technical leadership, and continuous improvement in line with best practices and business goals. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Solution Delivery Lead the deployment, administration, and technical support of the SAP Enterprise Portal (EP), ensuring availability, performance, and scalability. Analyze and translate complex business requirements into secure, well-architected portal solutions using SAP NetWeaver, Fiori Launchpad, and related UI technologies. Design and develop custom iViews, Web Dynpro applications, and configure standard content to deliver personalized user experiences. Implement Single Sign-On (SSO), user authentication, and security models in the portal environment. Integration & Collaboration Integrate SAP Enterprise Portal with other SAP modules (SAP ECC, S/4HANA, BW), as well as third-party systems and external content repositories. Collaborate with Basis, security, development, and business teams to deliver end-to-end solutions. Maintenance & Support Provide rapid issue diagnosis and resolution for portal incidents, performing root cause analysis as required. Monitor portal usage and performance metrics, proactively recommend improvements and upgrades. Stay abreast of SAP portal roadmap and recommend enhancements to leverage new features and capabilities. Documentation & Training Prepare and maintain documentation (design specs, technical guides, knowledge base articles). Conduct end-user and administrator training sessions to maximize solution adoption. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of hands-on SAP Enterprise Portal experience including implementation, administration, and support. Deep knowledge of SAP NetWeaver Portal, Fiori Launchpad, Web Dynpro, UI5/Fiori, iViews, Roles, and User Management. Solid understanding of SAP security concepts and SSO implementations. Demonstrated experience integrating SAP Portal with SAP backend systems (ECC, S/4HANA) and non-SAP systems. Proficient in web technologies (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, XML, AJAX) and web services (REST/SOAP). Experience with troubleshooting, performance tuning, and portal upgrades. Strong analytical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
