Description
The SAP Delivery Head plays a crucial role in supervising the delivery and execution of customer-facing SAP projects within the organization. Your responsibilities will include managing a portfolio of client projects, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and organizational goals, and overseeing project managers. As the SAP Delivery Head, you will be responsible for the portfolio's P&L, resource management, timelines, scope, risks, and escalations while ensuring projects adhere to defined budgets and deliverables. Your success in this role will rely on your leadership skills in managing SAP projects, guiding teams, and implementing governance and controls to deliver quality outcomes. It is essential to have a strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies, experience in running Agile projects, and proficiency in SAP Activate. Your Key Responsibilities will include: Project & Portfolio Management: - Managing a portfolio of customer-facing SAP projects efficiently to meet client expectations. - Mentoring project managers to ensure quality project execution and client satisfaction. - Developing and maintaining project tracking tools to monitor progress, risks, and performance. - Ensuring projects adhere to agreed processes, timelines, and budgets while focusing on client deliverables. - Monitoring project performance to align with customer goals and organizational objectives. Methodology & Governance: - Establishing standardized project management methodologies, tools, and processes for customer-facing projects. - Implementing governance frameworks to guarantee adherence to best practices in client interactions. - Enforcing compliance with project management standards and methodologies across all customer-facing projects. Agile Management & SAP Activate: - Leading Agile SAP projects and ensuring adherence to Agile principles and Scrum methodologies. - Applying SAP Activate methodology for best practices in SAP project implementations. - Ensuring effective management of Agile project teams for successful feature delivery. Financial & Resource Management: - Managing the financial aspects of the portfolio, including P&L, cash flow, and budget adherence. - Allocating resources efficiently across projects to meet customer demands. - Supporting resource management and capacity planning for successful project delivery. Risk & Issue Management: - Identifying and mitigating risks at the portfolio level to address potential issues promptly. - Managing project escalations to resolve issues quickly and minimize customer impact. Strategic Alignment & Reporting: - Ensuring customer-facing projects align with organizational strategic goals and client business objectives. - Evaluating and prioritizing projects that add value to customers and the organization. - Producing consolidated reporting on portfolio progress, key performance metrics, and project statuses for senior leadership and the executive team. Mentorship & Support: - Providing guidance, support, and training to project managers and teams for exceptional customer outcomes. - Mentoring project managers to enhance their skills in managing customer-facing projects effectively. Requirements: - Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar portfolio or delivery management role. - Proven experience as a project manager delivering SAP projects. - Strong SAP functional experience is a plus. - Proficiency in SAP Cloud ALM, Jira, and Microsoft Project. - PMP certification is mandatory. - Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum methodologies, and SAP Activate. - Excellent communication and presentation skills. - Experience in managing P&L, budgets, timelines, and resources for customer projects. - Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Preferred Skills: - Experience in SAP system implementation, support, or consulting. - Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or other relevant project management methodologies.
