About the Role

The role involves leading a team of ABAP developers, managing customer-facing responsibilities, and ensuring the implementation of best practices in SAP development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 5-10 ABAP developers, fostering knowledge sharing and professional growth, while managing customer-facing roles.
• Proven expertise in S/4HANA clean core strategy, including modular greenfield and brownfield paths.
• Enforce minimal customizations—prioritize standard SAP processes, refactor or retire unnecessary Z-code to limit technical debt.
• Implement all custom logic outside the core ERP using SAP BTP, microservices, or cloud-native tools using Side by Side extensions / In-App extensibility.
• Must be familiar with the Activate methodology for implementations and the ITIL process for support projects.
• Successfully completed at least two end-to-end implementations—on ECC and/or S/4HANA—and participated in support engagements, involving modules like SD, FICO, MM, PP, or QM.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize RICEF objects (Reports, Forms, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Workflows) on SAP HANA using ABAP.
• Develop and support integration with other SAP components (such as ECC, S/4HANA, EWM, SCM, aATP, GTS).
• Implement custom APIs and ensure smooth data flow between various systems.
• Continuously upgrade knowledge of the latest SAP technologies, particularly ABAP on HANA, and adopt emerging best practices in development.

Qualifications

• Graduation / Post Graduation, 15 years of full-time education.

• Advanced SQL Performance & Optimization: ABAP/HANA tuning, Code reviews, Clean Core Concept and working or knowledge on it
• Exposure Integrations: Web services, OData, RFCs, Middleware, SAP Gateway
• AIF troubleshooting, AIF Process
