Job Title : SAP ABAP Developer ECC to S/4HANA Migration. Location : Chennai, Bangalore, Trivandrum, Kochi, Hyderabad, Gurugram. Experience Required : 7+ years. Domain : SAP Technical (ABAP) S/4HANA Migration Projects. About The Role We are looking for a highly skilled SAP ABAP Developer with proven experience in SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and executing technical upgrade activities, including custom code remediation, SPAU/SPDD adjustments, IDoc enhancements, and OData service development. This role requires deep technical knowledge, hands-on experience with S/4HANA simplifications, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities : Migration & Upgrade Activities Lead and support SAP ECC to S/4HANA system conversion projects. Perform custom code impact analysis using tools like SAP ATC, CVA, and Simplification Database. Execute SPAU (Repository Object Adjustments) and SPDD (Dictionary Object Adjustments) during upgrade phases. Remediate obsolete or incompatible code based on S/4HANA simplification items. ABAP Development & Enhancements Develop and optimize custom ABAP programs, reports, enhancements, BADIs, user exits, and forms (SmartForms/Adobe). Refactor legacy code to align with S/4HANA best practices and performance standards. Ensure compliance with clean core principles and SAP extensibility guidelines. IDoc & Interface Management Design, develop, and troubleshoot IDoc interfaces for inbound and outbound processing. Handle custom IDoc segments, message types, and partner profiles. Integrate IDoc processing with middleware systems (e.g., PI/PO, CPI). OData & Fiori Integration Develop and expose OData services using SEGW and CDS Views for SAP Fiori applications. Ensure secure and efficient data access through OData protocols. Collaborate with UI/UX teams to support Fiori app development and integration. Testing, Documentation & Support Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and UAT support for all technical developments. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including functional specs, technical specs, and test cases. Provide post-go-live support and issue resolution during hypercare. Required Skills & Experience 6+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development. Minimum 2 full-cycle ECC to S/4HANA migration projects. Strong expertise in SPAU/SPDD handling and custom code remediation. Proficient in IDoc development, enhancement, and troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with OData service creation and SAP Gateway. Familiarity with CDS Views, AMDP, and RESTful ABAP Programming Model. Good understanding of S/4HANA architecture, simplification items, and SAP Fiori.
