Backend Experience
Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ Years of experience of developing and enhancing custom ABAP applications for SAP S/4HANA, ECC, and other SAP platforms.
- Enable system enhancements through BADI, User Exits, and Enhancement Framework.
- Backend proficiency: ABAP Objects, BAPIs/BADIs, and optionally CAP, RAP or BTP extension development
- Experience in extending standard CDS views and defining custom as per the business requirements.
- Implement custom APIs and ensure smooth data flow between various systems.
- Must have the ability to debug and troubleshoot both standard and custom SAP programs, as well as perform code optimization to enhance performance on the SAP HANA platform.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
- Stay up to date with the latest SAP Fiori and ABAP development trends and best practices.
- Knowledge of reporting tools such as Analysis for office, Microsoft excel, etc
SAP Fiori
- Design and develop custom SAP Fiori applications following SAP Fiori design guidelines.
- Design, develop, and maintain SAP Fiori applications using both frontend (SAP Fiori) and backend (ABAP/ODATA) technologies
- Build responsive UIs using SAPUI5, JavaScript, XML views, HTML5, CSS3, and Fiori Elements (Smart Controls, Templates)
- Develop and expose backend services using OData, ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), or traditional ABAP.
- Optimize application performance and ensure responsive UI/UX.
- Configure Fiori Launchpad: tiles, catalogs, roles, themes, and cross-app navigation
- Integrate Fiori apps with SAP S/4HANA and ECC systems.
- Maintain and enhance existing Fiori applications and troubleshoot issues.
- Collaborate with BASIS and Security teams for role and authorization configuration.
