Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Salesforce QA Engineer with strong automation testing skills. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Salesforce testing (Classic and Lightning), a solid understanding of Salesforce data models and configurations, and the ability to build robust test automation frameworks. You will be responsible for validating customizations, integrations, and workflows on the Salesforce platform.

Key Responsibilities:

Salesforce Testing:

• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing on Salesforce applications including custom objects, workflows, process builders, triggers, validation rules, and Apex classes.
• Validate Lightning and Classic interfaces, ensuring component compatibility and user flow accuracy.
• Collaborate with Salesforce developers, admins, and business analysts to define and execute comprehensive test plans.

Automation Testing:

• Develop and maintain test automation scripts using tools like Selenium, Provar, TestNG, or Robot Framework (with Java/Python).
• Automate UI and API test cases for Salesforce modules, ensuring reliability across releases.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools.
• Design automation frameworks using POM (Page Object Model), data-driven or keyword-driven approaches.

API & Integration Testing:

• Test Salesforce REST/SOAP APIs for third-party integrations (e.g., ERPs, Payment Gateways, CRMs).
• Use tools like Postman, SoapUI, or REST Assured to validate API responses, schema, and data flow.

General QA Activities:

• Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Execute test cycles, log and track defects in JIRA, and work closely with developers to resolve them.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives).
• Ensure test coverage across different user roles, profiles, permission sets, and data visibility rules in Salesforce.

Required Skills:

• 4+ years of QA experience with a focus on Salesforce platform testing.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce architecture, data model, standard/custom objects, and metadata.
• Hands-on with automation frameworks using Selenium (Java/Python), Provar, or equivalent tools.
• Proficient in writing SOQL/SOSL queries for test data creation and validation.
• Experience in API testing (REST/SOAP) and validation.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, QA processes, and best practices.
• Familiarity with tools like JIRA, TestRail, Git, Jenkins, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Salesforce certifications such as:
• Salesforce Certified Administrator
• Salesforce Platform App Builder
• Salesforce Platform Developer I (optional but beneficial)
• Exposure to Salesforce DX, Scratch Orgs, or SFDX CLI.
• Experience testing Salesforce CPQ, Service Cloud, or Sales Cloud modules (nice to have).
• Basic experience with performance testing tools like JMeter (optional).
