Salesforce Marketing Cloud Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Automation & Campaign Management:

  • Build and manage personalized campaigns across channels (email, SMS, push, etc.) using

    Journey Builder

    ,

    Automation Studio

    , and

    Content Builder

    .
  • Implement

    UTM parameters

    and manage

    campaign tracking strategy

    to ensure end-to-end performance visibility.
  • Use

    form handlers

    ,

    tracking scripts

    , and

    APIs

    to capture and sync lead data from websites, landing pages, and third-party tools.
  • Maintain and evolve

    lead scoring

    and

    lead routing

    frameworks, integrating with Salesforce Sales Cloud.
  • Optimize

    customer segmentation

    and

    audience targeting

    using SQL and Data Extensions.

CRM Development & Administration:

  • Support development efforts with

    Apex

    , and integrations with external systems.
  • Develop and maintain

    data models

    ,

    flows

    , and

    custom objects

    that align with the marketing tech stack.
  • Configure

    automation

    ,

    flow builders

    ,

    approval processes

    , and

    field-level security

    to support marketing operations.
  • Ensure smooth

    data flow

    between Salesforce CRM, Marketing Cloud, and any external data sources/platforms.

Tracking, Analytics, & Reporting:

  • Build and maintain robust

    campaign dashboards

    ,

    email performance reports

    , and

    multi-touch attribution models

    .
  • Implement and manage tools like

    Google Analytics

    and

    UTM tagging

    to track campaign effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with marketing and analytics teams to deliver actionable insights.
  • Ensure

    data quality

    ,

    governance

    , and compliance across all tracking and reporting processes.

Integrations & API Work:

  • Leverage

    Marketing Cloud APIs

    and

    Salesforce REST/SOAP APIs

    for automation and platform integration.
  • Work with tools like

    form handlers

    ,

    middleware (MuleSoft, Zapier, Workato)

    , and webhooks to support data flow and automation.
  • Assist with integration of third-party systems such as CRMs, CDPs, CMS platforms, or ad platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta).

  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant
  • Salesforce Administrator
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I
  • Salesforce Advanced Administrator (bonus)
