Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Sales Trainer to design, deliver, and continuously improve telesales training programs for our life insurance telesales teams. The role will ensure that sales agents are equipped with the product knowledge, consultative selling skills, objection handling techniques, and compliance awareness required to achieve sales targets and deliver a superior customer experience.

Key ResponsibilitiesTraining Delivery & Facilitation
  • Conduct induction training for new telesales hires covering company orientation, life insurance products, sales process, compliance, and systems.
  • Deliver refresher and advanced training sessions for existing telesales teams to enhance selling effectiveness.
  • Facilitate role plays, mock calls, and practical exercises to strengthen communication and persuasion skills.
Content Development & Standardization
  • Develop training modules, scripts, presentations, and job aids tailored to telesales of life insurance.
  • Update training materials regularly to reflect product launches, regulatory changes, and market trends.
Performance Coaching & Support
  • Monitor live and recorded telesales calls to identify skill gaps and provide feedback.
  • Conduct one-on-one and group coaching sessions to address weaknesses in sales approach, objection handling, and compliance adherence.
  • Collaborate with sales managers to track performance post-training and ensure knowledge transfer.
Quality, Compliance & Best Practices
  • Ensure that training programs emphasize ethical selling, regulatory guidelines (e.g., IRDAI or relevant authority), and customer-centric practices.
  • Promote standard telesales practices, call quality benchmarks, and adherence to scripts.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
  • Track and report training effectiveness using KPIs (e.g., productivity, conversion ratios, compliance scores).
  • Gather feedback from trainees and managers to refine training programs.
  • Stay updated on life insurance trends, telesales techniques, and learning methodologies.

Key RequirementsEducation & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred: Business, Marketing, or related field).
  • 36 years of experience in training in life insurance.
  • Proven track record of training large teams and driving measurable improvement in sales performance.
