Position Title: Sales Officer (SO) – Field Sales
Location: Ahmedabad
Industry: Paint or Similar industries (No BFSI, FMCG, NBFC)
Salary Range: ₹22,000 – ₹26,000 per month + Incentives
Job Type: Full-time
Experience Required: Minimum 1 - 2 years in field sales (similar industry preferred)
Job Responsibilities:
Generate leads from dealers, builders/contractors, societies, architects, and retail homeowners.
Conduct daily field visits to dealer counters and project sites; build strong relationships.
Understand customer requirement (new painting/repainting), budget, timelines, and shade preferences.
Explain products, systems (primer–putty–undercoat–top coat), warranties, and benefits vs competition.
Do site assessment: surface condition check, area measurement, and basic BOQ preparation.
Recommend shade options using shade cards/fan decks; guide on finishes (matte, silk, glossy, exterior).
Prepare and share quotations/proposals with clear scope, material breakup, and application charges (if any).
Negotiate pricing/terms within approved limits; close orders.
Coordinate tinting/stock availability with dealers; place orders and ensure on-time deliveries.
Liaise with contractors/applicators for correct application methodology and schedule.
Ensure in-store visibility: POP/merchandising, shade card availability, and counter promotions.
Conduct product demos and mini meets at dealer points and project sites.
Handle basic customer complaints; escalate technical issues to the technical team and ensure closure.
Track payments/collections as per credit policy; maintain minimal outstanding.
Maintain and grow dealer sales: secondary sales tracking, product mix improvement, and repeat orders.
Capture market intelligence: competitor schemes, pricing, and new projects.
Update daily sales reports/CRM: visits, enquiries, quotes, conversions, and pipeline status.
Follow safety norms at sites; ensure compliance with company policies and documentation.
Eligibility Criteria:
Minimum 1 - 2 years of field sales experience paint, or related industries.
Must have valid two-wheeler driving license and own bike.
Comfortable with extensive travel within assigned territory.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Target-oriented and self-motivated personality.
