Job Description

Role: Sales & Marketing Engineer
Location: Base location Chakan, Pune with travel across India for meetings and site visits (1-2 weeks every month)
Experience: 4–6 years in technical B2B/Capital-equipment sales & marketing
Reports to: CEO
Type: Full-time
CTC: 8-9.5 LPA

Role Purpose
Own enterprise demand generation and deal closure for Agrograde’s AI-powered optical sorting machines across cold storages, food processors, exporters, and large FPOs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pipeline & ICP: Define ICPs (potato/onion processors, cold storages, snacks/frozen plants), build account lists, and run multi-channel outbound (LinkedIn, email, events, partner/OEM referrals).
  • Lead Gen & Marketing Ops: Run campaigns, webinars, WhatsApp/email drips, and performance tracking in CRM. Create case-study one-pagers, ROI calculators, and demo scripts.
  • Discovery to Close: Qualify needs, scope POCs/pilots, anchor ROI, navigate technical & commercial stakeholders, and close with margin discipline.
  • Technical Pre-Sales: Conduct site surveys with engineering and draft techno-commercial offers.
  • Partner Network: Develop channel/OEM/Integrator ties to co-sell and expand footprint.
  • Forecast & Governance: Maintain 90-day forecast, Funnel hygiene, win/loss notes; coordinate with Ops for delivery timelines and with Finance for collections.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BE/BTech (Mech/Prod/EEE/Instrumentation) or equivalent.
  • 4–6 years in technical/capital-equipment sales (industrial automation, machine vision, packaging/food-processing, material handling).
  • Proven enterprise hunting + closing track record (₹50L–₹3Cr order sizes).
  • Strong commercial acumen (pricing, payment terms, negotiation, margin)
  • Excellent English + Hindi; willing to travel.

Good-to-Have

  • Exposure to cold storages/packhouses/FMCG processing; contacts in food processing industry
  • Working knowledge of conveyors and machine vision.
  • Prior stints at industrial automation or machine vision companies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹950,000.00 per year
