Job Description

As a Sales Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in serving customers by identifying their needs and engineering adaptations of products, equipment, and services. Your responsibilities will include new customer development through following up on leads and prospecting, as well as presenting products or services in your industry that would benefit the client's business. You will be expected to plan detailed presentations showcasing product information, pricing, and benefits, and meet with clients for sales appointments. Additionally, you will be responsible for acquiring new customers by winning them over from competitors and exploring new opportunities. To excel in this role, you should possess essential personal characteristics such as a willingness and ability to travel 10% to 70% of the time, depending on the position and sales role. Your creativity in approaching sales and building customer relationships in innovative ways will be key to success. Strong written and oral communication skills, previous experience in business-to-business (B2B) sales, and solid industry experience in your products are essential. Your organizational skills, attention to detail, negotiation abilities, and social problem-solving skills will be invaluable in this role. You should also thrive in a high-stress sales environment and have the ability to multitask effectively.
