Job Mandate Sales Manager (Home Loan)

Reporting to:

Role Summary:

The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving home loan sales within the assigned territory by generating new business leads, engaging with potential customers, and managing channel partners such as DSAs, real estate agents, and brokers. The role requires understanding customer home financing needs, delivering tailored solutions, and ensuring smooth and timely loan processing. The Sales Manager will work closely with the Area Sales Manager to achieve business targets and build long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Development & Lead Generation

  • Source and develop new home loan leads through direct customer interaction, channel partners, and networking.
  • Map potential residential projects, localities, and customer segments to maximize business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with channel partners to build a steady and quality sales pipeline.
  • Meet or exceed monthly home loan disbursal targets as per organizational goals.

2. Customer Engagement & Consultation

  • Understand customer financial needs and home ownership aspirations to recommend appropriate loan products.
  • Guide customers through the home loan application process, explaining eligibility, interest rates, tenure, and documentation requirements.
  • Provide personalized home loan solutions that align with customer profiles and repayment capacity.
  • Maintain ongoing communication to ensure customer satisfaction throughout the loan lifecycle.

3. Channel Partner Management

  • Identify, onboard, and train channel partners including DSAs, brokers, and real estate agents on product features and sales processes.
  • Monitor partner performance, ensuring compliance with company policies and ethical standards.
  • Foster strong relationships with partners to encourage repeat business and referrals.

4. Loan Processing Coordination

  • Collaborate with credit, legal, operations, and valuation teams to ensure smooth loan approval and disbursal processes.
  • Ensure all customer documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory and company standards.
  • Track application status and resolve bottlenecks promptly to reduce turnaround time.

5. Reporting & Market Feedback

  • Maintain accurate records of leads, applications, disbursals, and customer interactions.
  • Submit regular performance reports to the Area Sales Manager and participate in review meetings.
  • Provide insights on market trends, competitor products, and customer feedback to help refine sales strategies and product offerings.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a consultative sales approach.
  • Ability to manage and motivate channel partners and internal teams.
  • Results-driven with good organizational and time-management skills.

Education & Experience:

  • Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 35 years of experience in home loan sales, preferably with banks, housing finance companies, or NBFCs.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing client relationships in retail lending.
