Job Title: Sales Manager Facility Management

Overview

The Sales Manager Facility Management is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities within the facility management and building services sector. This role leads to the full sales cycle, builds long-term client relationships, and collaborates closely with operations teams to ensure service delivery aligns with customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in facility services (e.g., cleaning, maintenance, security, HVAC, landscaping, waste management).
  • Conduct market research to develop targeted sales strategies and understand industry trends.
  • Generating and qualify leads through networking, cold outreach, industry events, and referrals.
  • Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and bids.
  • Manage the end-to-end RFP/RFQ/tender process, ensuring timely and accurate submission.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including property managers, facility directors, procurement teams, and executives.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for new clients during onboarding and contract implementation.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and manage escalation of client concerns.

Strategic Planning & Forecasting

  • Develop annual sales plans and revenue forecasts.
  • Track sales performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with the operations, finance, and marketing teams to align sales initiatives with company capabilities and goals.

Contract & Negotiation

  • Prepare, negotiate, and secure service agreements, ensuring profitability and compliance with company policies.
  • Review contract terms with internal teams to ensure accurate service delivery expectations.

Team Leadership (if applicable)

  • Lead and mentor a team of sales representatives or business development executives.
  • Provide coaching, set performance targets, and monitor progress.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, Facilities Management, or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of sales experience, ideally in facility management, commercial cleaning, maintenance services, or related industries.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of facility services and building operations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build strong professional relationships and influence decision-makers.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel for client meetings, site visits, and industry events.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • New revenue generated.
  • Number of qualified leads and conversions.
  • Contract win rate (RFP/RFQ).
  • Client retention and satisfaction scores.
  • Sales pipeline value and accuracy of forecasts.

Work Environment

  • Office-based with regular travel to client sites.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams including operations, finance, and marketing.
