Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Goa. We are looking for Sales Manager / Asst. Sales Manager who will be responsible for tapping the sales of rooms, Wedding and social events for our hotel located in GOA. Key responsibilities include rigorous sales calls, increase room and F&B revenue, tap potential markets / segments . The position will report to the Corporate Director of Business Development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to drive business in new and existing markets / travel agents
  • Network with the sales team members to ensure full market coverage.
  • Works collaboratively with off-property sales channels to ensure sales efforts are coordinated, complementary and not duplicative.·
  • Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings.
  • Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.·
  • Develops relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities.
  • Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  •  Participates in sales calls with members of sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business.·
  • Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence).

 

Qualifications

  • Degree from a reputed university.in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 7 - 10 years’ experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area.

OR

  • 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 1 year experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area.
  • 10 years experience in Hospitality sales on a cluster or regional role
  • Excellent follow ups and guidance to unit managers
  • Experience with budgeting and financial analysis
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing situations
  • Willing to travel and be mobile
