Responsibilities and Deliverables:
•Sales & Business Development: Develop and execute sales strategies for solar projects up to 20MW. Generate and qualify leads, build a strong pipeline of opportunities, and drive B2B and B2G sales.
•Client & Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, manage end-to-end client engagement from pitch to project award, and lead negotiations.
•Team Leadership & Collaboration: Build and lead a high-performing sales team and collaborate with engineering, project management, and finance teams to develop proposals.
•Market Intelligence & Strategy: Conduct competitive benchmarking and market research, identify new market segments, and provide input on pricing and go-to-market plans.
•Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
•Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach.
•Driven by outcomes and takes ownership from lead generation to deal closure.
•Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
•Familiarity with government policies and regulatory frameworks in the renewable energy space.
•Techno-commercial acumen with knowledge of solar PV technology, CAPEX/OPEX models, and ROI calculations.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
•Education: A Bachelors degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical preferred) is required, with an MBA in Sales/Marketing/Business Development being preferred.
Experience: 10-12 years of experience in solar sales, with at least 5 years in EPC sales within the rooftop/floating/small utility solar segment. A proven track record of achieving annual revenue targets and closing large-scale projects is essential. Experience working with DISCOMs, PSUs, state nodal agencies, and industrial clients is a plus.
