Sales Engineer Qualifications: Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Experience: 3 to 4 years Job Location: Kolkata (with extensive travelling required) Preference will be given to candidates having experience in sales of equipment related to the steel industry. Skills Required : 1. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical systems and industrial equipment used in steel plants. Familiarity with products such as cutting machines, transporters, grinders, and refractory systems. Basic knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems is an added advantage. 2. Sales & Communication Skills: Ability to understand customer requirements and recommend suitable technical solutions. Fluent in both written and spoken English. 3. Documentation & Reporting: Proficient in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to prepare and deliver technical presentations using PowerPoint. Competence in preparing quotations, techno-commercial proposals, and post-sales documentation. 4. Industry Awareness: Understanding of procurement processes, tender participation, and supply chain requirements in the steel industry. Experience in handling site visits, client meetings, and technical discussions. 5. Mobility & Initiative: Willingness to travel extensively for business development and after-sales support.
