We are seeking a talented Strategic Sourcing Specialist to work in a fast-paced multi-site manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will play a key role within the sourcing group in executing cost takeout projects within Operations and New Product Development. Support as a key user for material compliance platform and support global team by ensuring all collected data is uploaded to the material compliance platform. Support the global procurement team with administrative tasks, reporting and support in collecting supplier information. The candidate should furthermore be available to find, validate and potentially develop new suppliers in the local country. Support by doing audits at suppliers in the region. Support global team with RFQ’s in the region. Support with quality approvals and first samplings at new suppliers. Drive material cost improvements through purchase price reductions and material cost out activities through re-design. Execute sourcing funnel process with several commodities. Locate and develop suppliers globally and engage suppliers in projects to improve quality, lead-time, and price/terms. Drive regular improvement in Purchase Price Variance (PPV) through RFQs, auctions, and negotiations with suppliers. Be responsible and accountable for the strategic direction and daily management of specific purchased commodities Execute the vendor consolidation process of identifying and developing strategically important suppliers Work closely with Supply Chain/Materials personnel to implement and receive benefits of best practices Support the negotiation strategies with suppliers ensuring inventory optimization is included in supplier contracts and agreements.
