Job Description

Position Overview

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing customer relationships, and driving revenue growth for Leister’s product lines. This role combines technical expertise with strong sales acumen to identify customer needs, propose appropriate solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and manage business opportunities in assigned territories or industry segments.
  • Present, promote, and sell Leister’s product portfolio (e.g., plastic welding machines, industrial heaters, blowers, and laser systems).
  • Conduct product demonstrations, trials, and technical presentations for clients.
  • Understand customer applications and recommend suitable Leister products or solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (service, logistics, and marketing) to ensure smooth order execution and after-sales support.
  • Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and tenders.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, reports, and customer databases.
  • Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and customer events to promote brand awareness.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience: 2–4 years of experience in industrial product sales, capital equipment, or technical B2B solutions.
  • Strong understanding of industrial or plastic processing applications is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Technical aptitude with the ability to explain complex products in simple terms.
  • Proven ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM software, and digital communication tools.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
