Job Description

Role Summary:

The Sales & BD Manager will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding the agency's presence in the Trade Marketing, BTL Activation, and Media segments. This role requires a strong understanding of the marketing ecosystem, a proven sales track record, and the ability to manage client relationships from pitch to project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Sales:

  • Identify potential clients and decision-makers in FMCG, retail, automotive, consumer electronics, etc.
  • Generate qualified leads through cold-calling, networking, LinkedIn outreach, and referrals.
  • Create and present compelling pitches and customized proposals.
  • Convert leads into long-term clients with regular follow-ups and relationship-building.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for key clients.
  • Understand client business needs and marketing objectives.
  • Upsell and cross-sell services based on client needs and campaign success.

Strategy & Planning:

  • Collaborate with the strategy and creative teams to develop effective BTL/Trade/Media solutions.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor strategies to identify growth areas.
  • Plan and forecast monthly/quarterly sales targets and ensure achievement.

Team Collaboration & Execution:

  • Work closely with internal departments – creative, operations, production – to ensure flawless execution.
  • Coordinate with media partners and vendors when required.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 4–8 years

    of experience in business development/sales in a

    BTL, activation, trade marketing, or media agency

    .
  • Strong existing network of brands, especially in FMCG, retail, or lifestyle sectors.
  • Proven track record of achieving/exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of BTL campaign mechanics (on-ground activations, retail branding, in-store promotions, etc.) and media buying (if required)
  • Ability to handle multiple clients/projects simultaneously.
  • Introducing new vendors and manage P&L.


Educational Qualification:

  • Graduate in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA is a plus.


Preferred Industry Experience:

  • Advertising / Media / Event Management / BTL / Trade Marketing / Branding Agencies
