Sales Assistant

As a Sales Assistant at Shoppers Stop Limited Vastrapur, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 380015, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers. Your primary responsibility will be to assist customers, address their queries, and help them make informed purchasing decisions. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining the appearance of the sales floor, managing stock, and supporting the overall sales objectives of the business. Your duties will include greeting and engaging customers, offering assistance with product selection, and providing accurate information about products. You will be expected to respond to customer inquiries promptly and professionally, as well as resolve any complaints in a timely manner. Demonstrating product features, benefits, and usage to customers will be essential in assisting them with making informed buying decisions. In terms of sales support, you will play a vital role in achieving store sales targets by recommending and upselling products based on customer needs. It will be important for you to stay informed about promotions, discounts, and company policies to effectively inform customers and drive sales. You will also be involved in stock management by assisting with restocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring that the store is well-presented at all times. Conducting inventory checks, staying updated on new arrivals and current trends, and reporting low stock or damaged products to the store manager will be part of your responsibilities. Maintaining the store's appearance is crucial, and you will be responsible for ensuring that the sales floor, fitting rooms, and displays are neat, clean, and visually appealing. Monitoring stock levels and promptly reporting low stock or damaged products to the store manager will also be part of your role. Collaboration with your team members is essential in achieving store objectives, and participating in training sessions to enhance your product knowledge and sales techniques will be encouraged. While previous retail or sales experience is preferred, it is not essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, a customer-oriented approach, and basic knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling are desired qualities for this role. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, is required.
