Sales and Marketing Manager: Agriculture

Job Summary:

The Sales and Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing distribution networks, and promoting agricultural products and solutions. The role involves building strong relationships with distributors, dealers, and farmers while ensuring business growth and market expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans for agricultural products (seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, or equipment).
• Achieve regional and national sales targets through effective channel and field management.
• Identify and appoint distributors, dealers, and retailers in key territories.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify business opportunities.
• Plan and execute farmer meetings, product demos, and field trials.
• Coordinate with the R&D and production teams for product availability and demand forecasting.
• Manage pricing, promotions, and branding activities in alignment with marketing goals.
• Monitor sales performance, prepare reports, and analyze data for decision-making.
• Train and motivate sales teams and field staff to achieve performance goals.
• Ensure compliance with government and regulatory norms for agricultural product marketing.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Strong understanding of the agriculture sector and rural markets.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to analyze market trends and develop growth strategies.
• Proficiency in MS Office, CRM, and reporting tools.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Flexibility to travel across regions for business development.

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture / Agribusiness / B.Sc (Agri).
• MBA / PGDM in Agri-Business or Marketing preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
