Job Description

The Business Development Manager in Events & Exhibitions will be responsible for driving growth, acquiring new clients, and expanding the company’s presence in the event and exhibition industry. This role combines strategic thinking, relationship building, and sales expertise to attract new business, manage key accounts, and maximize opportunities in the events and exhibitions space. Key Responsibilities: Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Identify and target new business opportunities within the event and exhibition industry. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and vendors. Develop and execute strategies to generate new leads and convert them into long-term business. Negotiate and close deals with prospective clients for exhibition booths, event spaces, sponsorships, and other related services. Project Coordination & Event Planning: Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, creative) to design and deliver custom solutions for clients’ events and exhibitions. Coordinate and assist with event logistics, ensuring client specifications are met on time and within budget. Oversee and ensure seamless execution of events and exhibitions, from pre-event planning to on-site operations. Sales & Revenue Generation: Create sales presentations, proposals, and pitches tailored to potential clients' needs and requirements. Meet or exceed sales quotas and revenue targets related to event space sales, exhibition services, sponsorship deals, and more. Track and report on sales performance, lead conversion rates, and other key performance indicators (KPIs). Networking & Partnerships: Build a network of industry professionals, influencers, and partners to enhance business development efforts. Attend relevant industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to represent the company and establish new connections. Customer Experience & Post-Event Follow-up: Ensure high levels of client satisfaction throughout the entire event process. Conduct post-event follow-ups to assess client satisfaction and secure repeat business or referrals. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during or after events, ensuring a positive outcome. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field. Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of business development or sales experience within the event, exhibition, or related industry. Skills: Strong negotiation and communication skills.
